You can add accommodations for a student in New Quizzes. Accommodation settings include adding or removing time for all assessment attempts, and multiplying time limits by a set multiplier.

Note: Accommodations apply to all assessments in a module for a student and only one accommodation can be set per student. Set accommodations can be viewed in the Accommodations column and in the Moderate panel.  


To add special student accomodations in New Quizzes, complete the following.

  1. Moderate you assessment by following Moderate a student's single attempt in New Quizzes.
  2. Find the student that you want to give accomodations, and click the edit icon Image Placeholder.
  3. To adjust the timer settings for the student, select from the Time adjustments list. 
    1. To add additional time to the assessment attempt, select the Give additional time from the list, then select the amount of time. Time units can be set to minutes or hours.
    2. To remove the time limit from the attempt, select Remove time limit (unlimited).
    3. To add a time limit multiplier, select Time limit multiplier from the list. Enter the multiplier in the Time limit multiplier field.
    4. When finished adjusting the time limit, click Save.
  1. View the student's accommodations in the Accommodations column. This column displays the cumulative effect of accommodations and moderation timer settings.
