You can migrate a Canvas quiz to be used in New Quizzes.

While New Quizzes migration supports all question types, you should still review your assessments before assigning them to students.
Notes: 
  • After migration to New Quizzes, multiple dropdown questions display as matching questions.
  • Migrating question groups to New Quizzes is not supported.
  • Please ensure to check your migrated quiz before releasing it to students.
As this feature is still in development, if you notice any issues please let us know and we will flag them with instructure.

To migrate classic quizzes to New Quizzes, complete the following steps.

  1. In the module navigation of your module, click Quizzes.
  2. On the quiz that you which to migrate, click the options icon (⋮), then select Migrate. Once migrated, the quiz displays a New Quiz icon Image Placeholder.
  3. To open your quiz, click the name of the quiz, then click Build.

Note: By default, migrated quizzes are unpublished.
