Once you have your Qwickly Attendance settings updated you can choose how you would like to take attendance for your classes. If you are taking attendance yourself, you can choose to show students one-by-one in Qwickly and do a roll call to mark students present. Otherwise you can choose to display the students as a list and mark them present. This option is easier if adding attendance records for a past session and is often quicker for current sessions but it's based on instructor preference.
Note: This is how the Take
Attendance window will appear for
groups or sections if available in a module:
If you decide to mark attendance yourself,
you will get a list of students where you can
choose to click on either Present, Absent or
Excused. You can also mark students present
for the current or a past session.
Student Check In
You can also choose to start a Check In.
Before you do this, make sure that you
have checked and updated the Check In
settings in the Settings section of
Qwickly. You may, for instance, want to
limit the Check In period to 5 minutes or
use a PIN.
Click the Attendance tab in the left
hand menu of Qwickly and choose Start Check
In tho begin.
A pin will then be generated, if you
have chosen that option, and the time frame
will also be posted for students. The pin will
only display on the instructor’s screen, so
you will need your projector on or have
another method for sharing the pin with
students.

The student will be notified that their
check-in was successful:
If you chose to take attendance manually,
you have four options as discussed
previously:
1. Present
2. Absent
3. Excused
4. Comment
When attendance is completed, you have
the option of downloading the file as a
.csv and opening it using Excel.
