You can share an item bank with another user in New Quizzes. Sharing an item bank gives users full access to the item bank, including adding items to the bank, sharing or removing users from the bank, and deleting the bank.

Note: Item banks can only be shared with users with a teacher, TA, or admin role.



To share an Item Bank in New Quizzes, complete the following steps.

  1. From Module Navigation of your module, click Quizzes.
  2. To open an quiz, click the title of the quiz, then click Build.
  3. or
  4. To create a new quiz, click +Quiz, select New Quizzes, enter quiz information, and click Build.
  5. On the Build tab of the quiz builder, click Item Banks.
  6. Locate the item bank that you want to share and click +Share beside it.
  7. Enter the name of the person you want to share the item bank with in the Share With field, then click their name when it displays. You can add multiple names if you want to share with multiple people.
  8. Click Add to share the item bank with the people you selected.
  9. Optional: To remove any user from an item bank, click the trash icon beside their name. To undo removal, click the undo icon beside their name.
  10. Click Done to save your changes and return to your item banks.
