Smart recording allows you to organize your cloud recording into sections called smart chapters, get the key takeaways in a quick and digestible format through recording highlights, identify action items to take after the meeting or webinar with next steps, and even provide the host analytics on key meeting and conversation factors, including talk speed, talk-listen ratio, longest spiel (or monologue), filler word usage, and patience. This is very useful for lectures where you may want to divvy up the recording for easy viewing.

To enable smart recording, complete these steps:


  1. Sign in to https://telcit.zoom.us/.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click the AI Companion tab.
  4. Under Recording, select the Smart Recording with AI Companion toggle to enable it.
  5. Optional: Select or clear any of the checkboxes as desired. These are Recording highlights, Smart chapters, Next steps, and Meeting coach.
