There are a few options to access Speedgrader on your module site:
- You can also click on SpeedGrader, which
is available from any
assignment, graded
discussion or
quiz, once a student submission has been made.
- Click Grades on the left module menu. This brings you into the Gradebook where you will see the list of students on the left down the page and the assignments published can be viewed across the top. Go to the specific assignment you wish to view submissions for, select the 3 dots when you hover over the submission. A menu pops and click Speedgrader from the menu. This brings you into Speedgrader where you can view individual student submissions.
You can view the details of a student's
submission in the top right corner of SpeedGrader by selecting the down arrow to the right of the student name. Select
a student from the
list.
Each individual
submission displays with the date and
time
that it was submitted.
If the
assignment
was submitted after the due date, a LATE label displays.
If a
student has resubmitted an assignment, you can
view previous versions by selecting the down arrow on Submission to view.
Note: When anonymous
grading
is enabled, student details are
hidden
in the submission sidebar. The
submission menu displays submissions by
number (e.g., Submission 1, Submission
2).
Details
will be
visible when the assignment is either
unmuted or assignment grades have been
posted.
How to download a submission
If a student has submitted more than
one assignment, the submission view
includes a drop-down list where you
can view prior submissions. By
default, the date of the most recent
assignment will always be shown first.
Canvas will warn you if you are not
viewing the most recent
submission. Click the
download icon
to the right of the submission.
to the right of the submission. When anonymous grading is enabled, if a quiz includes more than 65 total
submissions, individual attempts
cannot be viewed in SpeedGrader. To
view prior quiz attempts for a
specific student, click
the See all quiz
attempts link.
